The Curt 56222 is a custom T-connector wiring harness that gives your Kia Rondo or Soul a standard 4-way flat trailer connector without touching a single wire. The harness uses OEM-compatible connectors to "T" into the vehicle's taillight assembly — unplug the existing taillight connectors, plug in the harness between them, and route the 4-way flat output to the rear of the vehicle. No cutting, no splicing, no soldering — just basic hand tools and the included instructions.
A built-in tail light converter handles the signal translation between the vehicle's separate brake and turn signal circuits and the standard combined trailer wiring format. SMT (surface mount technology) circuitry keeps the converter compact, generates less heat, and provides better long-term durability under towing vibration. 1. Access the vehicle's taillight assembly 2. Unplug the existing OEM taillight connectors 3. Plug the T-connector harness in between — OEM connectors on one side, vehicle taillight connectors on the other 4. Route the 4-way flat output to the rear of the vehicle and secure with the included metal bracket 5. Install the dust cover when no trailer is connected No cutting, splicing, or soldering required.
