Single-plug OEM connector for Cadillac SRX with factory tow package. Plugs into the vehicle's factory-installed tow wiring socket — no taillight access, no cutting, no splicing. Provides a standard 4-way flat output for trailer tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals. About 2-minute installation. Rubber dust cover included. Lifetime warranty.
This connector requires your Cadillac SRX to have the factory tow package. SRXs with the tow package have a factory wiring socket located behind the center of the rear bumper — this connector plugs directly into that socket. SRXs without the factory tow package do not have this socket and this connector will not work. If your SRX does not have the tow package, a different harness that T's into the taillight assembly is required instead. To check: Look behind the center of the rear bumper. If you see a black factory wiring socket already present, your SRX has the tow package and this connector will work.
Cadillac SRX — 2010 to 2016 with factory tow package Verify your model year and confirm the factory tow package socket is present before ordering.
The Curt 56096 takes advantage of Cadillac's factory-installed tow wiring socket on the SRX. Rather than T-ing into the taillight assembly like most wiring harnesses, this connector uses a single OEM-compatible plug that snaps directly into the factory socket already under the rear bumper. No need to remove tail lights, access the trunk liner, or route wires across the vehicle. The whole installation involves locating the factory socket, plugging in the connector, and routing the 4-way flat output — customers consistently report the job takes about two minutes.
The result is a standard 4-way flat output that powers trailer tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals. A rubber dust cover protects the connector when no trailer is plugged in. Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters (sold separately) for trailers requiring more connections.

Look behind the center of the rear bumper on your SRX. If your vehicle has the factory tow package, you'll see a black factory wiring socket already present — this is what the Curt 56096 plugs into. If there is no socket present, your SRX was not equipped with the factory tow package and this connector will not work. A T-connector harness that accesses the taillight assembly would be required instead.
