Keep your RV Shady window covers secured and looking sharp with this high-performance, exterior-grade hook-and-loop replacement tape. Designed specifically for RV Shady products, it handles outdoor exposure, UV, and temperature swings that would cause standard household velcro to fail or peel.
RV windows see harsh conditions -- blazing sun, road vibration, rain, and wide temperature swings. The adhesive and fabric on a standard household hook-and-loop strip won't hold up. Trailersphere's RVSHDYVO10 is rated for exterior use, meaning the pressure-sensitive adhesive maintains grip even after repeated exposure to moisture and UV.
This tape is the correct replacement for the hook-and-loop strips used to mount any RV Shady cover to your window glass. Whether your original tape has lost its stick, been damaged during removal, or you're doing a fresh installation on a second window, this is the part you need.
Pressure-sensitive backing holds firm against moisture, road vibration, and outdoor temperature cycles that defeat standard hook-and-loop tape.
Cut straight corners or follow a window's curved edge with scissors. Works on rectangular, arched, and radius-cornered RV windows.
Engineered as a direct replacement for Trailersphere RV Shady cover installations. Matches the hook-and-loop specification used in the original product.
No special tools required. Measure, cut, peel, and press. Best applied to clean glass at room temperature for maximum adhesion.
Measure first. Measure each side of the window glass before cutting. A strip that is slightly short will leave a gap where the cover can lift; a strip that is slightly long is easy to trim but hard to undo once stuck.
Temperature matters. Apply this tape when the window glass is at room temperature -- roughly 60 to 80 deg F is ideal. Cold glass (below 50 deg F) reduces initial adhesive grab. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before stressing the bond.
Avoid hot glass. Do not apply the tape to glass that has been sitting in direct sun or is warm to the touch. Heat makes the adhesive tacky before it can be positioned correctly, resulting in uneven placement and a weaker long-term bond.
Corner cutting tip. For a cleaner finish and better adhesion at corners, cut the tape ends at a straight 90-degree angle. If your window has a rounded corner, trim the tape to follow the curve rather than leaving the end overhanging the glass edge, where it is more likely to catch air or peel.
Use RVSHDYVO10 any time the original hook-and-loop strips on an RV Shady cover installation have:
Compatible covers: This tape is designed for use with all Trailersphere RV Shady window cover products. If you are installing a new RV Shady cover for the first time, this tape provides the correct hook-and-loop specification for a secure, rattle-free fit.
