The Valterra A01-1131VP AquaFRESH Exterior RV Water Filter Kit filters incoming water right at the source, screwing onto the end of the fresh water fill hose before it enters the RV. Inside, granular activated carbon (GAC) reduces the taste and odor of chlorine while also reducing sediment and scale, and KDF material helps limit bacterial growth during storage, extending the effective life of the carbon. The wide-body design allows for increased water flow, so filtering doesn't come at the cost of weak pressure. A UV-resistant welded case holds up to sun exposure over time, and the kit includes a spring-reinforced hose saver, since the added weight of the filter can otherwise cause the hose to kink or pinch near the connection.
Replace the filter when an undesirable taste or odor appears in the water, or if water flow decreases significantly, whichever comes first. Actual filter life depends on the quality of the water source. Store the filter capped in a cool place and protect it from freezing when not in use.
