The Valterra T40B replaces the waste valve on your RV's black water tank, built with hub connections on both sides so each end slides over a separate section of sewer pipe. This is the correct configuration if your existing valve's pipe slides over the outside of both valve ends, rather than into them.
The 3" diameter passage lets wastewater flow freely when the valve is open, and a plastic handle gives you reliable manual control. Bladex-style valves like this one are also interchangeable with several other brands, including Grentec, Anonda, Larden, and Bristol.

The hub portion of this valve is 1-1/2" deep, and the overall valve is just over 5" deep.
