The Connect 2.0 operates in two independent modes that can be used separately or together. In 4G LTE mode, an activated SIM card (AT&T or T-Mobile network) turns the unit into a cellular hotspot, broadcasting a private WiFi network inside your rig. In WiFi-as-WAN mode, the built-in long-range radio latches onto a campground or marina WiFi signal and re-broadcasts it inside the coach -- giving every device on board access without each one needing to connect to a weak, distant access point individually.
Because both radios live in the dome up on the roof -- not down at dash level or on a countertop -- the antenna has a clear line of sight to towers and access points that in-cab hotspots simply cannot match.

The WF2-435 uses a standard nano or micro SIM card (verify slot size before ordering a SIM) and connects to AT&T and T-Mobile LTE band sets. It is NOT a Verizon-native device; Verizon network users should verify MVNO compatibility or consider Winegard's Air 360+ platform which includes broader band support.
Connect 2.0 scans for available networks from the roof, you select the campground network and enter the password once in the dashboard, and the unit rebroadcasts it internally. Devices in the RV connect to the Connect 2.0 network -- not directly to the distant campground router -- so you get a consistently stronger signal inside.
The WF2-435 dome mounts to a flat roof surface using the included base plate and sealant ring. The single cable drops through the roof -- typically through an existing cable entry port or a new 3/4-inch hole -- and connects to the included interior control module or router. Power comes from 12V DC, drawn from the RV's house power system. Total install time for a DIY-capable RV owner with basic tools is typically 1 to 2 hours.
