The Blue Ox BX88254 is a premium coiled lighting cable that adapts the 7-way RV blade connector on your coach to a 4-way flat on the towed vehicle. The coiled jacket stays off the pavement during turns, while molded plugs and corrosion-resistant contacts deliver reliable stop/turn/tail signal transfer mile after mile.

Note: 4-flat does not include charge line, reverse, or electric brake circuits. For those, use a 6-way or 7-way to the toad.

Installation

1. Plug the 7-way blade end into the RV’s trailer socket at the rear of the coach.
2. Route the coiled section above the tow bar, avoiding sharp edges or hot exhaust.
3. Plug the 4-flat into the towed vehicle’s lighting kit pigtail.
4. Test running lights, left/right turn, and brake at the toad before driving.

Technical Specifications

*If your tow bar is extra-long or you need charge/reverse circuits, consider a 6- or 7-way umbilical.

Compatibility

• RV/Coach: Standard 7-way RV blade socket.
• Towed Vehicle: 4-flat pigtail from diode kit, bulb-and-socket kit, or integrated toad harness.
• Works with Blue Ox, Roadmaster, Demco, and other baseplate/tow-bar systems (lighting is independent of baseplate brand).
