Set of 2 Classic standard scissor stabilizing jacks for travel trailers and 5th wheels. 5,000 lb. static capacity each, 4" to 23-3/4" travel range, double-lead acme thread drive, tooth gear arms, crank handle and mounting hardware included. Made in the USA.
The BAL 24002C is the standard version of BAL's Classic Scissor Jack set β a pair of 24" scissor stabilizing jacks that have been a staple of the RV industry for decades. They mount directly to the trailer frame without requiring a crossmember, bolt on or weld on at any convenient underbody location, and provide fine leveling and stabilizing across the full 4" to 23-3/4" travel range.
The Classic Standard jack uses a sandwich-construction washer bearing design and tooth-gear scissor arms that extend and retract in a true vertical line β not an arc. The double-lead acme thread drive screw raises and lowers quickly with each turn of the crank handle, and the handle receiver is designed so the included crank can be operated even when inserted at an angle. E-coat on the jack body and zinc coating on the crank handle ensure long outdoor service life. The 24002C is the value-oriented option in BAL's scissor jack lineup; the 24002D Deluxe adds a patented roller-bearing assembly and upgrades capacity to 7,500 lbs. per jack.
Widest travel range in its class β handles low-clearance and high-frame RVs without swapping jacks
Tooth gear scissor arm design extends and retracts in a straight vertical line β no arc or lateral movement
Double-lead acme thread raises quickly with less cranking β gets jacks deployed faster at the campsite
E-coated jack body and zinc-coated crank handle for long-lasting corrosion resistance
β’ 2x BAL Classic Standard 24" Scissor Jacks (24009) β’ 1x Zinc-coated crank handle β’ Mounting hardware Individual replacement jack available separately: β’ 24009 β Single Classic 24" jack (no handle, no hardware)
BAL Classic Scissor Jacks mount to the trailer frame underbody β no existing crossmember is required. The universal mounting brackets accommodate frame widths for most travel trailers and 5th wheels. Typical placement: One jack near each rear corner of the trailer for stability. Some owners add a second pair mid-frame or at the front for maximum stability β see the 30" model (24003C) for trailers with higher front frame clearance. Stabilizer, not a leveling jack: Like all scissor stabilizing jacks, the 24002C is for fine leveling and stabilizing after the trailer is approximately level β it is not designed to lift the full trailer weight from the ground up.
The 24002C Classic Standard provides 5,000 lbs. static capacity per jack. If your RV's frame loading exceeds this or you want the smoother roller-bearing operation and extra capacity of the Deluxe model, consider the 24002D Classic Deluxe instead β it provides 7,500 lbs. per jack with a patented roller-bearing assembly for easier operation.
All models mount bolt-on or weld-on directly to the trailer frame without a crossmember and include a crank handle and mounting hardware. All are sold as a set of 2.
