The BAL 854769 is the OEM replacement flexible drive shaft for the BAL Accu-Slide motor and gearbox assembly — the small square-profile shaft that couples the motor output to the gearbox input and transmits rotational force to drive the slide-out cable system. The flexible construction reduces stress on both the motor and gearbox by allowing minor misalignment between the two components during operation.
This shaft is for Accu-Slide systems produced after 2014 which use the larger ~3/16" (0.190") shaft diameter. Older Accu-Slide systems use a smaller ~1/8" shaft — see BAL 854761 for those. The motor and drive shaft can also be removed to allow direct manual override of the gearbox using the flexible override tool when needed.

The 854769 is for post-2014 Accu-Slide systems with a ~3/16" shaft diameter only. Pre-2014 systems use the smaller ~1/8" shaft (854761). Measure your existing shaft or check your system's manufacture date before ordering — the two shaft sizes are not interchangeable.
