The BAL 20036 is the economy replacement crank handle for BAL scissor jacks — the hand tool used to raise and lower the jack by turning the drive screw. It uses a speed wrench-style body with a 3/4" fixed forged socket that seats directly onto the 3/4" drive socket of compatible BAL scissor jacks, and a straight grip arm with black rubber hand grips for a comfortable hold during cranking. The socket is welded in place — fixed, not swivel — making this a straightforward single-position crank.
The zinc-plated steel construction resists rust for outdoor storage. The 20036 ships with the BAL 24002C Classic Scissor Jacks set as the included crank, making it the standard replacement for that widely installed jack. The 20036 has a fixed 3/4" socket and is for standard and Lo Pro scissor jacks only. BAL Deluxe Scissor Jacks (24002D / 24003D) use a different crank with a swivel socket — do not use the 20036 with Deluxe jacks. Per BAL's own warnings: do not use a cordless drill or impact driver to operate scissor jacks unless the chuck is set to the appropriate torque setting. Use the manual crank to feel resistance during operation.
