The Blue Ox BRK2512 is a replacement brake claw for your Patriot supplemental (toad) braking system. It's the component that clamps onto your towed vehicle's brake pedal, allowing the Patriot system to apply the brakes automatically while flat towing behind your motorhome.
This claw is spring-loaded and lockable, so you simply squeeze the tabs to lock it into the open position, then push the release button to close it onto the pedal — making setup faster and more secure. It's designed to work well with towed vehicles that have larger brake pedals.

General Installation Steps: 1. Remove Old Claw: Detach the worn or damaged claw from your Patriot brake unit 2. Attach New Claw: Secure the BRK2512 to the Patriot unit's actuator arm 3.
