Forged from a single piece of steel rather than welded together, it's built to handle the added stress of heavy-duty towing better than typical 2" ball mount options, supporting up to 17,000 lbs of gross trailer weight and 2,550 lbs of tongue weight.
With a 6" drop or 5" rise, this version offers more positioning range than Curt's standard 4"-drop forged mount, useful for taller trucks or trailers that sit at a different height than your receiver. A black carbide powder coat finish protects against rust, scratches, and UV fading, and it's engineered as the ideal counterpart to Curt's Class 5 Xtra-Duty trailer hitch.
