If your vehicle already has a competitor's vehicle-specific brake controller harness installed, the Curt 51520 lets you switch to a Curt trailer brake controller without replacing that existing wiring.
This adapter harness is designed to allow competitor brake controller harnesses to be used with Curt trailer brake controllers, and is compatible with Tekonsha, Reese, Draw-Tite, and Pro Series vehicle-specific harnesses (registered trademarks of Horizon Global). It connects to any Curt trailer brake controller except the Echo model. It's constructed with quality 12-gauge wires for consistent power delivery, and the wires are color-coded to match standard brake controller harness conventions.

This adapter is specifically designed to bridge competitor brake controller harnesses to Curt brake controllers — it is not intended for splicing a Curt controller directly into a vehicle's factory wiring from scratch (that's Curt's #51500 wiring kit). It's compatible with any Curt brake controller except the Echo model.
