Splice-in harness with colored pigtail wires that connects a Curt trailer brake controller to your vehicle's electrical system when a factory Quick Plug socket isn't available.
It takes a lot of power to stop a moving trailer, especially when that trailer is hauling livestock, construction materials, industrial equipment, or other heavy-duty cargo. When a Curt Quick Plug harness isn't a compatible option for your vehicle, this harness with pigtails is the next best thing.
One end of this harness features a quick plug connector that snaps directly into your Curt brake controller, while the other end has colored pigtail wires that splice into your vehicle's electrical system, coordinated to the appropriate electrical function. This universal splice-in harness comes with a protective slit-loom sleeve and can easily be installed using Curt's universal wiring kit #51500. It also eliminates backfeed on the brake light that can trigger warnings in select vehicles, and reduces input voltage from the vehicle for optimal brake controller function.
One end plugs in, the other splices into your vehicle
For vehicles without a factory brake control plug
Eliminates brake light backfeed issues in select vehicles
Protects wires from crushing and abrasion
Only the brake controller end of this harness is a plug-in quick plug connector — the vehicle end consists of colored pigtail wires meant to be spliced into your vehicle's wiring, typically alongside Curt's universal wiring kit #51500 (sold separately). Note that brake lights will not illuminate when using manual override.
