Curt 52028 provides the essential components needed to activate a trailer's electric brakes if the trailer becomes separated from the tow vehicle. Pulling the breakaway switch lanyard releases the switch pin, allowing the onboard battery to supply emergency power directly to the trailer brakes.
The included sealed rechargeable battery supports trailers with up to three axles and is maintained by the included 12V charger. A durable polyethylene battery case protects the battery and charger from the elements while its metal bracket provides convenient mounting on a trailer tongue or jack post.
