A leaking factory dump valve doesn't have to ruin your camping trip. The Camco 39050 installs in seconds between your existing sewer outlet and hose, giving you a fully functional backup shutoff so you can control the dump -- not the other way around. Ships complete with the clear extension and sewer cap, ready to connect out of the box.
When your factory-installed black or grey tank dump valve starts to weep or won't seal completely, you have two choices: pull panels and replace the original valve (a messy, time-consuming job that may require moving the rig) or slide a backup gate valve onto the existing outlet and deal with the original valve repair on your own schedule. The Camco 39050 is that backup solution.
It threads or locks directly onto your existing 3" sewer pipe or fitting using the standard 4-bayonet-prong interface common to Valterra, Camco, and virtually all other major RV sewer termination fittings. Once seated, it adds a solid knife-gate shutoff downstream of the leaking valve so no waste reaches your hose or dump station until you're ready to release it.
Matches the standard 3-inch RV sewer outlet diameter for unrestricted flow when open. No reduction in dump speed compared to factory valves.
Locks onto all standard 3" sewer termination fittings using the universal 4-bayonet-prong interface. No adapters needed for most RVs.
The transparent extension section lets you see tank contents and flow -- so you know when the black tank is fully cleared before closing the valve.
A fitted sewer termination cap ships in the box. Cap the outlet after dumping and travel with confidence that the valve and extension are protected.
Note: Sewer hose, hose fittings, and thread adapters are NOT included. The valve connects via 4-bayonet-prong push-and-turn, not threaded pipe -- no wrench required for the main connection.
The 4-prong bayonet system is the RV industry standard for 3" sewer connections. To install, align the four prongs on the gate valve body with the slots on your existing sewer fitting, push in, and rotate a quarter turn to lock. The valve seats firmly without tools. To connect your dump hose to the clear extension outlet, use a standard 3" bayonet or threaded sewer hose fitting (sold separately).
This same interface is used by Valterra, Camco, Rhinoflex, and most other major RV sewer hose brands, so compatibility with your existing setup is very likely.
The Camco 39050 is a downstream backup solution -- it does not repair or replace the original leaking valve inside the rig. If the original valve is leaking past its seal, the backup gate valve will contain that leakage inside the extension section and prevent it from reaching your hose or campsite. However, if the original valve body is cracked or has failed structurally, a full valve replacement should be your primary goal. The 39050 buys you time and keeps the system usable while you plan that repair.
