The Camco 42149 is a 3-pack of stainless steel mesh insect screens designed to cover the louver openings on Dometic RV refrigerator vents — the side-mounted exterior vents that allow the absorption unit behind the fridge to exhaust heat. These vents are a prime nesting target for wasps, mud daubers, and other insects, which build nests inside the vent cavity that block airflow, reduce cooling efficiency, and can damage the burner assembly. Rodents and birds are additional common intruders.
The screens mount over the louver slots using the included zip ties, covering the openings while still allowing air to pass through the mesh. They are sized specifically for Dometic refrigerator vents with 20" louver openings — each screen is 20" long x 1-1/2" wide. Three screens cover the full set of louver slots on a typical Dometic two-door refrigerator vent panel.

Tool-free, zip tie installation: 1. Open the refrigerator vent panel on the exterior of the RV 2. Position one screen over each louver slot opening 3. Secure each screen in place using the included zip ties, threading them through the mesh and around the vent frame 4. Trim excess zip tie length and close the vent panel Tip: Inspect and clean screens at the start of each camping season — remove any debris or insect activity that may have accumulated over winter storage.
The 42149 fits Dometic refrigerator vents with 20" louver openings. Dometic uses different louver lengths across its refrigerator lineup — not all Dometic refrigerator vents use a 20" opening.
