The Camco 42330 combines two of the most common RV screen door upgrades into one product: a sturdy aluminum crossbar that mounts across the screen door to protect it from being pushed through or worn out by people grabbing the screen to open and close the door, and a motion-activated LED light that illuminates the entry steps whenever someone approaches after dark.
The crossbar gives occupants and guests a proper grab point for opening and closing the door — eliminating the habit of pushing on the screen itself, which stretches and tears the mesh over time. The built-in motion sensor activates the LED when movement is detected, lighting the steps and door area for safer nighttime exits without needing a separate exterior light. The bar adjusts from 21-5/8" to 28-5/8" to fit the width of most standard RV screen doors, and the UV-stabilized resin mounting brackets resist sun degradation. Two AAA batteries power the LED — not included.

Straightforward bracket-mount installation: 1. Measure the interior width of your screen door to confirm it falls within the 21-5/8" to 28-5/8" range 2. Determine the desired height on the door — typically positioned at a comfortable hand-grip height 3. Mark bracket locations on the door frame and mount brackets using included hardware 4. Adjust the crossbar to the correct width and secure in the brackets 5. Install 2x AAA batteries and set the LED mode (off or motion-activated) Note: Position the motion sensor side toward the exterior to ensure it activates as someone approaches the door from outside.

Verify your screen door's interior width falls between 21-5/8" and 28-5/8" before ordering. Screen doors outside this range will not allow the bar to mount correctly. 2x AAA batteries are required but not included. The LED will not function until batteries are installed.
