The JR Products 10525 is a 6" stainless steel T-style hook and keeper door holder that keeps an RV or enclosed trailer door open while loading and unloading or working around the trailer. The stainless steel hook arm slides into the keeper bracket to hold the door in place, and the all-stainless construction resists rust and corrosion far better than factory plastic T-style holders. At 6" in length, this is the longer option in the lineup, offering extra standoff distance — useful on rear swinging doors where tail lights, license plate lights, or other hardware might otherwise make contact with the trailer body when the door is held open. This is a direct upgrade replacement for any standard T-style door holder.
If the door and the side of the RV or trailer are not parallel when open, the 6" standoff can put the hook and keeper at an angle, making it harder to hook cleanly. Some installers have found it helpful to relieve a small amount of material from one corner of the keeper where the hook enters to compensate. Mounting hole spacing may also run slightly different from some factory plastic holders — compare before drilling new holes.
