Olympian Wave catalytic heaters (Wave 3, Wave 6, Wave 8) require a dedicated low-pressure regulator -- they cannot safely run off a standard two-stage coach regulator or an unregulated high-pressure hose. Camco part 57703 is designed from the ground up for this application, delivering the correct outlet pressure and flow capacity to run Olympian Wave heaters at their rated BTU output.
One end terminates in a Type-1 ACME nut that threads directly onto any standard portable propane cylinder (the same fitting used on most 1 lb to 20 lb portable tanks). The other end is a 3/8 in female flare swivel nut, which connects to the Olympian heater's inlet without adapters. The 6 ft rubber hose gives you comfortable standoff distance from the cylinder.

The Type-1 ACME nut (also called a QCC-1 or Acme Type-1) is the large hand-tighten fitting now standard on portable cylinders 4 lbs and over. It replaced the older POL left-hand thread fitting. If your cylinder has the large flat-face valve that tightens clockwise by hand, this regulator will connect to it directly.
