Two large-capacity inline water filters with GAC and KDF filtration. Reduces bad taste, odor, chlorine, sediment, and bacteria growth. 20-micron sediment barrier. Each filter lasts ~3 months. NSF 42/53 listed. CSA lead-free certified. Made in the USA. No hose protector included.
The Camco 40044 is a value two-pack of the TastePURE large-capacity inline water filter — the same proven KDF and granulated activated carbon (GAC) filtration as the single-unit 40043, packaged as two filters for uninterrupted season-long coverage. Each filter reduces bad taste, odor, chlorine, and sediment through a 20-micron sediment barrier combined with a GAC and KDF media bed. The KDF component also inhibits bacteria growth inside the filter when it's not actively in use — a meaningful benefit for RVers who leave their filters connected between trips.
Each filter in the 40044 two-pack lasts approximately three months, giving a combined six months of coverage. The wide-body design provides higher flow than narrower inline filters, and the standard hose thread connections (3/4" GHT male inlet, 3/4" GHT female outlet) connect directly between a campground spigot and your fresh water hose. Note that the 40044 does not include a flexible hose protector — see the 40043 single-filter version if a hose protector is needed.
• 2x Camco TastePURE KDF inline water filters Not included: • Flexible hose protector (included with 40043 single) Recommended hookup accessories (sold separately): • Camco 40395 Vacuum Breaker (install first, at the spigot) • Camco 40055 / 40064 Water Pressure Regulator
Connecting the filter: Spigot → Vacuum breaker → Pressure regulator → TastePURE filter → fresh water hose → RV city water inlet. When to replace: Approximately every 3 months, or sooner if you notice reduced flow, returning taste or odor issues, or visible discoloration of the filter body. Storing between trips: KDF media inhibits bacteria growth while the filter is idle — an advantage over carbon-only filters. Still recommended to drain the filter before extended storage periods.
The 40044 two-pack does not include a flexible hose protector. If preventing hose kink at the filter connection is important, see the 40043 (single filter with hose protector) or 40045 (2-pack with hose protectors). This filter is not designed or tested for use with fish tanks or ponds — KDF media can be harmful to aquatic life.
The 40044 is the best value for most full-season RVers who want two filters ready without paying for hose protectors. For the same coverage with hose protectors included, see the 40045. For finer filtration with a reusable housing, see the EVO Premium 40631 system.
