UnitedCovers UnitedCovers 5-Layer Lifetime Warranty UnitedCovers 5-Layer Folding Pop-Up Camper Cover -- Fits 6 to 8 Foot Campers (UC-FC-0608)

Stop leaving your folding pop-up camper exposed between trips. The UnitedCovers 5-Layer cover is purpose-built for compact folding campers in the 6 to 8 foot length class, combining a heavy-duty 5-ply top panel with a breathable 3-ply side structure that blocks weather without trapping damaging moisture underneath. It ships with a patch kit and storage bag, and backs every purchase with a lifetime manufacturer warranty.

All-Weather Defense for Your Folding Camper

Pop-up and folding campers present a unique storage challenge: their low profile and fabric-heavy construction make them especially vulnerable to UV degradation, pooling moisture, mold, bird droppings, and tree sap during extended storage. The UnitedCovers 5-Layer was engineered specifically for this use case, not adapted from a generic RV cover template.

The 5-layer top panel uses four polypropylene PLUS layers bonded around a central microporous film. That film is the key -- it is water-resistant from the outside while remaining vapor-permeable from the inside, so condensation and trapped humidity can escape rather than feed mildew on your camper's canvas and frame. The 3-layer sides use the same microporous film technology with two polypropylene PLUS face layers for all-around protection without excess weight.

5-Ply Top Construction

Four polypropylene PLUS layers plus one microporous film layer deliver superior resistance to rain, snow, UV rays, and hail while allowing interior vapor to escape.

Breathable 3-Ply Sides

Two polypropylene PLUS layers and one microporous film prevent rot and mildew by promoting airflow -- critical for folding campers with canvas walls.

Secure Fit System

Adjustable weighted buckles eliminate slack and billowing. Elastic hems at front and rear corners grip the camper frame for a snug, wind-resistant seal.

Sunlight Reflection

Gray outer surface reflects solar heat, reducing interior temperature buildup that can warp trim, crack plastic components, and fade upholstery during summer storage.

Construction and Material Details

Both the top and side panels use polypropylene PLUS -- a reinforced non-woven polypropylene fabric that resists tearing and puncture better than basic single-layer covers. The microporous film layer in both panels is sealed against liquid water while remaining permeable to water vapor, meeting the core requirement of any quality RV cover: keep rain out, let condensation out.

Seams are double-line stitched at all panel junctions for long-term structural integrity. The slip-seam perimeter profile is shaped to follow the low, wide footprint of folding campers, which minimizes wind catch and prevents the cover from riding up during storage.

The top panel extends downward past the panel boundary on all four sides, creating an overlap zone that eliminates exposed gaps at the top-to-side transition -- a common weak point on lower-cost covers.

What This Cover Protects Against
  • Rain and standing water -- microporous film sheds liquid while breathing
  • Snow and ice accumulation
  • UV radiation -- blocks and reflects sunlight to protect canvas, vinyl, and painted surfaces
  • Tree sap and bird droppings -- smooth outer face resists adhesion
  • Dirt and dust -- rated to block over 98% of particulate from reaching the camper surface
  • Hail -- multi-layer top absorbs impact energy
  • Mold and mildew -- airflow-permeable structure prevents moisture trap

Installation and Fit

The cover is designed for tool-free installation by one person. The weighted buckle system lets you pull the cover snug and lock off excess strap without fumbling with traditional hook-and-loop or rope tie-downs. Elastic hems at the front and rear corners self-adjust to the camper's profile.

The slip-seam design means the cover conforms to the camper's shape rather than draping loosely, which is important for minimizing wind load during long-term outdoor storage. The fitted perimeter also reduces the risk of water pooling in low spots.

What Is Included
  • UnitedCovers 5-Layer folding pop-up camper cover (gray)
  • Patch kit for field repairs
  • Storage bag for off-season or travel storage
  • Lifetime manufacturer warranty
Storage and Care Tips
  • Clean the camper surface before installing the cover to prevent abrasive particles from being trapped against the finish.
  • Allow the camper canvas to fully dry before covering to minimize mold risk in humid climates.
  • Inspect buckle straps seasonally and re-tension after heavy wind events.
  • Use the included patch kit immediately if any small tears appear -- do not allow a tear to propagate through the panel layers.
  • Store the cover in the included bag when not in use to protect the microporous film layer from unnecessary UV exposure.
Sizing Note

This cover (UC-FC-0608) is sized for folding pop-up campers measuring 6 to 8 feet in body length. The cover's own dimensions are approximately 8.5 feet long x 7.17 feet wide x 3.75 feet tall, providing clearance for the camper profile plus the overlap zones. If your camper falls outside this length range, UnitedCovers offers other size variants in the UnitedCovers 5-Layer line -- verify your camper's closed body length before ordering.

Important Information -- Read Before Ordering
  • This cover is sized for folding pop-up campers with a closed body length of 6 to 8 feet. Do not order this SKU for longer or shorter campers -- an ill-fitting cover will not provide proper protection and may be damaged by wind.
  • Measure your camper's closed body length (not the tow vehicle, not the hitch, just the camper box) before purchasing.
  • This cover is designed for storage use. It is not engineered for use while towing or while the camper is deployed in the open position.
  • Although the cover is water-resistant, prolonged submersion or standing water conditions (flooding) are not intended use cases.
  • Allow canvas walls and interior surfaces to dry fully before covering to minimize mildew risk in humid environments.
  • The patch kit is intended for minor field repairs only. Large tears compromise the multilayer protection system and may require cover replacement.
How To Measure Your Folding Popup Camper:

Length: Measure the longest distance from the front to the rear of the camper, ensuring to include the spare tire and ladder. Be sure to exclude the hitch and tongue from your measurements!

Height: Measure the sidewalls of the camper from the highest point of the roofline down to the outer frame. Remember to exclude ground clearance, roof-mounted accessories, vents, and air conditioning units. If your trailer is equipped with an air conditioner and the height measurement (excluding the A/C unit) is within 4 inches of the maximum limit for the cover you're considering, we recommend opting for the next larger size to accommodate the air conditioner.

How to Install Your Pop-up Camper Cover:

1. Identify the Front: Most folding pop-up camper covers feature a "Front" tag on the interior, either sewn or stamped. Use this tag to clearly determine the front and rear of your cover.
2. Check Tag Placement: Ensure that all tags are located on the inside of the cover. Installing the cover upside down may lead to damage to your vehicle's paint.
3. Prepare the Cover: Fold the sides of the cover toward the center for easier handling.
4. Roll the Cover: Starting from the rear, roll the cover toward the front, leaving the loose end at the front.
5. Position the Rolled Cover: Place the rolled cover at the rear of the folding pop-up camper.
6. Unfold the Cover: Begin at the front of the camper and unfold the cover from side to side, allowing it to drape down over the sides as you move toward the rear.
7. Adjust as Needed: Walk around the camper and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the cover fits snugly from side to side.

Removal:

1. Release All Fastenings: Carefully undo all straps and zippers securing the folding pop-up camper cover.
2. Lift the Front: Raise the front of the cover to the top of the folding pop-up camper.
3. Lower from the Rear: From the rear of the camper, gently pull the cover down to remove it completely.

For Cleaning:

Proper care of your RV cover is essential for maintaining its performance and water resistance. Contaminants like dirt and grease can damage the cover, so regular washing is recommended for long-lasting protection.

You can wash the cover by hand or in a washing machine. For hand washing, install the cover on your RV, rinse it with a hose, then use a cloth and multi-purpose cleaner to scrub. Rinse again and either towel dry or let it air dry.

For machine washing, use the largest machine available, set it to gentle mode, and wash with mild powder detergent in cold water—avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Rinse the cover twice to remove all detergent, and always air dry.
