Full-season protection for your folding pop-up camper. The Gold Shield 5L cover uses a 5-ply breathable construction on top and 3-ply on the sides to block UV rays, rain, snow, hail, bird droppings, tree sap, and dirt -- while still letting moisture vapor escape so mildew never gets a foothold. Designed specifically for pop-up campers in the 8 to 10 foot length range, it installs without tools and stores compactly when not in use.
Most budget covers use a single layer of woven polypropylene. The Gold Shield 5L stacks five layers across the top panel -- four polypropylene PLUS layers bonded around a central micro-porous film -- and three layers on the side panels. That micro-porous film is the key: it sheds liquid water while allowing water vapor to pass through, so condensation and humidity escape rather than collecting under the cover. The result is a dry interior surface even during prolonged storage in wet climates.
The top layer is extended downward along all four sides, adding an overlap that seals out wind-driven rain at the edges. Double-line stitching at all seam junctions reinforces the cover where stress concentrates most during high-wind conditions.
Four polypropylene PLUS layers plus one micro-porous film layer block water, UV, and debris while staying breathable.
Two polypropylene PLUS layers and one micro-porous film layer protect the sides without trapping moisture against the finish.
Weighted adjustable buckles eliminate slack and prevent the cover from billowing or shifting in gusty conditions.
Elastic hems at the front and rear corners pull the cover snug so wind cannot lift the edges away from the camper.
This cover is sized for folding pop-up campers measuring 8 to 10 feet in length when closed and ready for storage. The cover's own dimensions are approximately 10.5 ft long x 7.17 ft wide x 3.75 ft tall, providing an overlap beyond the camper body on all sides. Verify your camper's closed length, width, and height against these cover dimensions before ordering -- a proper fit prevents billowing and wind damage.
The Gold Shield 5L is rated to protect against the following common storage hazards:
The cover installs without tools. Weighted buckles drop into position and tighten by hand; elastic corner hems stretch over the front and rear ends to lock the cover in place. A typical installation takes one or two people about 10 to 15 minutes. The cover folds down into the included storage bag for compact off-season storage in a garage or shed.
You can wash the cover by hand or in a washing machine. For hand washing, install the cover on your RV, rinse it with a hose, then use a cloth and multi-purpose cleaner to scrub. Rinse again and either towel dry or let it air dry.
For machine washing, use the largest machine available, set it to gentle mode, and wash with mild powder detergent in cold water—avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Rinse the cover twice to remove all detergent, and always air dry.
