A cracked, faded, or missing motor cover leaves your Eclipse awning drive exposed to UV, rain, and road grime. This OEM-style replacement snaps the protection back in place with the correct right-side profile and a clean white finish that matches the standard Eclipse arm color.
The Carefree Eclipse is one of the most common motorized slide-out and patio awnings found on production-built RVs. The motor cover -- the plastic housing that caps the drive end of the awning arm -- takes the worst of the weather. Sun makes the original brittle, road debris cracks it, and carwash brushes finish the job. Part number R001324WHT is the correct right-side replacement cover, sold individually, in white.
Right-side orientation is determined by standing outside your RV, facing the awning. The right side is on your right as you look at the awning. If the motor and drive housing are on your left as you face the rig, you need the left-side cover instead -- verify before ordering.
Engineered for the Carefree Eclipse awning arm. Replaces the original housing without drilling or modification.
Molded specifically for the right-hand drive end of the Eclipse arm. Not interchangeable with the left-side cover.
White ABS-style plastic resists yellowing and maintains color match with the standard Eclipse arm finish over multiple seasons.
Comes with the screws needed to secure the cover to the arm. No separate hardware trip required.
Stand on the ground outside your RV and face the awning (face the side of the coach where the awning is mounted). The right side is to your right from that position. The motor and gearbox assembly will be visible inside the cover on the drive end of the arm. If your motor is on the left side as you face the rig, you need the left-side cover -- part number R001324WHT is right-side only.
This cover fits the Carefree Eclipse awning series. Carefree produces multiple awning lines (Fiesta, Traveler, Pioneer, etc.) with different arm profiles and motor housing shapes. Check your existing arm or the awning label to confirm "Eclipse" before purchasing. Motor covers are not universally interchangeable between Carefree product lines.
Replacing the motor cover is a straightforward job for most RV owners:
No special tools required beyond a Phillips or appropriate screwdriver. The job typically takes under 15 minutes on a flat surface with the awning retracted.
While the cover is off, inspect the motor wiring harness and the gearbox for corrosion or damaged insulation. A few minutes of inspection now can prevent a failed deployment on your next trip. Apply a light coat of dielectric grease to any exposed connector terminals before reinstalling the cover.
