Give your RV a fresh, clean look without replacing the entire awning assembly. The Carefree of Colorado JU156A00 is a direct-replacement vinyl fabric engineered for 15 ft awning systems. It combines the valance and main canopy into one continuous piece for a smooth, uniform profile -- and the White Weatherguard strip protects the rolled fabric from UV exposure, road grime, and scrapes every mile between campsites.
Worn, faded, or torn awning fabric isn't just an eyesore -- it leaves the roller tube and internal hardware exposed to weather. This Carefree fabric restores full protection and curb appeal in a single afternoon installation. The Burgundy Shale Fade colorway uses smaller-scale patterns that complement a wide range of RV exterior color schemes without overpowering them.
The fabric ships with a spline tool and installation instructions, so you have what you need to swap it out on a level site or in your driveway. Two standard polyrods (polysplines) seat into two separate slots in the roller tube, locking the fabric in place securely without specialized shop tools.
Valance and main canopy are cut from a single fabric panel for a seamless, classic look when fully extended.
White Weatherguard vinyl strip shields the rolled fabric from sun, abrasion, and road debris when the awning is retracted.
Heavier-weight vinyl construction resists sagging, tearing, and UV degradation through seasons of outdoor use.
Works with most A&E, Carter, Carefree, Dometic, Faulkner, and Norseman roller awning systems using standard poly cord sizing.
Awning fabric is always shorter than the full awning width -- this is by design. The fabric is intentionally cut approximately 10 inches narrower than the nominal awning size (5 inches short on each side) so it clears the arms when extended and retracted without binding.
Installation follows the standard Carefree spline-and-polyrod method used across the A&E and Carefree product families:
The Burgundy Shale Fade pattern blends deep burgundy tones with neutral shale gray in a subtle fade pattern. The smaller-scale design keeps the exterior look refined rather than busy. The White Weatherguard strip is visible when the awning is retracted, providing a clean contrast against darker RV sidewalls.
This fabric is backed by a limited 1-year manufacturer warranty from Carefree of Colorado covering defects in materials and workmanship. Due to its size and weight (18 lbs, rolled), this item ships ground freight only -- expedited or priority shipping is not available for this product.
