Give your RV a fresh look and reliable shade with this direct-replacement vinyl awning fabric from Carefree of Colorado. Sized for 16ft awnings, this 15ft 2in fabric installs into most A&E, Carefree, Dometic, Carter, Faulkner, and Norseman awning arms using the existing polyrod and roller tube system -- no new hardware required.
Awning fabric takes a beating -- UV exposure, road debris, wind abrasion, and years of rolling and unrolling all take their toll. The JU168A00 replaces your worn or faded canopy with fresh 13.5 oz vinyl construction and a White Weatherguard strip that shields the rolled-up fabric from sun damage, dirt, and scraping when the awning is stowed.
The one-piece design integrates the valance and main canopy into a single continuous panel for a clean, classic profile when fully extended. The double-sided Sierra Brown Dune Stripe pattern looks the same from inside your awning as it does from the curb -- a detail that matters on a full-hookup site or at a rally.
Valance and main canopy are a single uniform panel -- no seam, cleaner appearance when open.
Shields the rolled fabric from UV rays, scrapes, and road grime while traveling or in storage.
Heavy-duty vinyl weight resists tearing and holds up under extended outdoor exposure.
Sierra Brown Dune Stripe pattern is visible from both above and below for a finished look inside and out.
This fabric is designed for 16ft awnings and has a finished fabric length of 15ft 2in. This is intentional and correct. The fabric is manufactured 10 inches shorter than the nominal awning width -- 5 inches shorter on each end -- so that it clears the awning arms when rolling and unrolling. Do not order a fabric that matches your awning's nominal width exactly.
This fabric uses standard polyrod attachment -- two polyrods in two separate slots in the roller tube -- and standard poly cord sizing. That system is shared across many awning brands manufactured over the past few decades, making this a practical replacement for a wide range of rigs.
Replacement is a two-person job on most rigs but does not require special tools beyond what is included. The fabric must be threaded onto the roller tube and the lead rail using the polyrods, then the spline is set using the included spline tool.
