Convert a compatible manual RV patio awning to convenient push-button 12-volt operation. Six instant pitch settings on each arm let you dial in shade angle and rain runoff at every site -- no tools required.
The Carefree of Colorado OVJVAPHW Travel'r arm set is a complete two-arm 12-volt electric replacement for compatible manual awning arms on travel trailers, fifth-wheels, and motorhomes. Both the driver-side and passenger-side arms are included -- everything you need to motorize the arm assembly on a compatible roller.
Each arm carries an electric motor and wiring harness integrated into the arm body, eliminating the hand crank and allowing one-button deployment and retraction from inside the RV or via a wall-mounted switch. The arms self-level during retraction so the roller closes evenly without manual adjustment.
The adjustable pitch feature sets this model apart from fixed-angle arms. Six detented positions on each arm let you slope the fabric forward for rain runoff or flatten it for maximum shade -- and you can change the angle even after the awning is deployed.
Six detented pitch positions on each arm let you set the fabric slope for shade or rain runoff -- adjustable even while deployed, without tools.
The integrated motor control automatically levels both arms during retraction, ensuring even roller closure and protecting the fabric edge.
Arms extend to 8 feet, matching the reach of full-size patio awnings on most Class A, Class C, fifth-wheel, and travel trailer sidewalls.
Weather-resistant black finish resists UV fading and corrosion. Matches standard black RV awning hardware and trim.
Not included: in-cab switch or rocker switch panel, wiring from coach battery to arms, and the roller/fabric assembly. This is an arm set only -- your existing compatible roller and fabric remain in place.
The OVJVAPHW arm set is designed to work with compatible Carefree of Colorado Travel'r roller assemblies as well as select A&E / Dometic and Solera / Lippert roller tubes that share the Carefree arm-mount interface. Confirm your roller end-cap profile and arm pivot-bracket hole pattern before ordering.
These arms require a 12V DC power feed from your coach electrical system and a compatible momentary rocker switch or Carefree wall control. The wiring run from the battery/fuse block to the arms and the switch are not included. Use appropriately rated wire gauge for your run length -- Carefree typically specifies a minimum of 14 AWG for runs up to 20 feet. Install an inline fuse (typically 20A) at the power source. If you are replacing existing Carefree electric arms, the existing wiring harness may be reusable -- inspect for condition before reuse.
