The Thetford 50045 is the Cassette C223-CS — a permanent cassette toilet that bridges the gap between a standard RV toilet and a portable cassette unit. Previously known as Thetford part number 200866SP, this is the same toilet under an updated part number.
The C223-CS offers two features that set it apart from conventional RV toilets. First, the bowl rotates 180° on the base, which both saves space in tight installations and allows the cassette waste tank to be accessed from either a portrait or landscape service door orientation — giving installers significant flexibility about where and how the toilet is positioned in the bathroom. Second, the integrated cassette waste tank is removable through the exterior service door, so emptying is done by sliding out the tank and transporting it to a dump station — no need to connect a sewer hose to the RV itself.
