The Norcold 50907 is the OEM Compressor Power Module (CPM) for Norcold's DC compressor refrigerator lineup — the primary control module mounted on the back of the refrigerator that drives and regulates the compressor's operation. Previously known as Norcold part number 640178, this is the same direct-fit module under an updated part number.
The Compressor Power Module receives input from the thermistor and control board, then drives the variable-speed DC compressor at the appropriate speed to maintain the set temperature. When the CPM fails, the most common symptoms are a compressor that won't run, a refrigerator that won't cool at all despite having power, or a compressor that runs continuously without reaching temperature. RV Fridge Guys note that visible burn marks on the front or back of the module are a definitive sign of failure. Fits all serial numbers on all listed models.

The 50907/640178 is for Norcold DC compressor refrigerators only — models with "DC" in the model number. It is not compatible with Norcold absorption refrigerators (1200, 2118, N7, N8 Polar, N3104, etc.). Confirm "DC" appears in your refrigerator's model number before ordering.
