Stop guessing and start testing. The Dinosaur Electronics P711EXERCISER Refrigerator Exerciser lets you quickly verify AC power, DC power, and gas (LP) operation of newer Dometic RV absorption refrigerators -- all from the outside access panel, without crawling inside the coach or disassembling the interior trim.
When a Dometic RV refrigerator stops cooling, it is rarely obvious whether the fault is in the eyebrow board, the lower control module, the heating element, or somewhere else in the system. Swapping boards blindly is expensive. The P711EXERCISER plugs directly into the lower control module connector at the outside access panel and exercises each operating mode -- AC, DC, and gas -- independently. If the refrigerator responds correctly with the exerciser in place but fails with the eyebrow board connected, you have confirmed a bad eyebrow board. That single test can save hours of diagnosis and dozens of dollars in unnecessary parts.
Designed specifically for newer Dometic absorption refrigerators that use a two-board architecture (a lower control module on the back and a separate eyebrow or user-interface board on the front), the exerciser bypasses the eyebrow board signal path entirely, letting the control module run on its own. The tool is compact enough to use in the limited space of a standard RV exterior refrigerator access panel.
Exercises AC electric, DC electric, and LP gas modes individually so you can pinpoint exactly which heat source or circuit has failed.
By process of elimination, confirms whether a suspected eyebrow board is actually defective before you order a replacement.
Works entirely from the exterior access panel -- no need to remove interior panels, shelving, or trim to perform the test.
Comes with a step-by-step instruction sheet covering connection procedure and how to interpret test results for common Dometic fault scenarios.
The lower control module on Dometic two-board refrigerators receives commands from the eyebrow board via a wiring harness connector. The P711EXERCISER plugs into that same connector in place of the eyebrow board harness. Once connected, the technician can manually command AC, DC, or gas operation. The module and burner/element assembly respond exactly as they would during normal use. If the fridge heats and cools correctly with the exerciser, the lower control module, burner, and elements are all functioning -- narrowing the fault to the eyebrow board or its wiring.
The P711EXERCISER is designed for newer Dometic RV absorption refrigerators that use the lower control module / eyebrow board two-board design. These include Dometic RM and NDR series refrigerators commonly found in Class A, Class C, fifth wheels, and travel trailers manufactured from the late 1990s onward. Consult the lower control module connector style on your specific unit to confirm fitment before use.
