The correct foot pad for your system depends on your jack assembly part number and cylinder size. To confirm the #7818 is correct for your application: 1. Locate your jack assembly part number. This is typically stamped on the jack body or found in your RV's original parts documentation. The #7818 fits jacks #7636 (SL15) and #7636A (SL15). 2. Identify your cylinder. The #7818 foot pad is designed for jacks using the 2⅜" body plate-mount cylinder — EQ Systems cylinder part #2943. If your existing cylinder carries a different part number, cross-reference the EQ Systems Jack Replacement — Cylinder & Foot Identification Chart before ordering. 3. Check for a leg switch. If your jack has a switch mounted on the leg itself, you need the #7819 foot pad instead — that variant includes a mounting plate for the leg switch.
The #7818 foot pad does not include provisions for a leg switch. If your hydraulic jack has a switch mounted on the leg (a small sensor near the base of the cylinder that detects ground contact), you need part #7819, which includes the leg switch mounting plate. Installing the #7818 on a leg-switch jack will leave the switch unhoused and the leveling system unable to detect ground contact correctly.
