The Cummins Onan 0149-2279 is the OEM-specified fuel filter for Marquis 5000, 6500, and 7000 gasoline generators (BGM and NHM, Spec A–F) and for specific spec letters of the Emerald I (BGE), Emerald III (NHE), and Emerald III NHEL generator series. It is a gasoline-only filter — LP vapor and LP liquid models do not use this filter.
Fitment on the Emerald series is spec-letter and build-date dependent. Some Emerald models use this filter only on specific spec letters, and some spec letters have a "before 9/87" or "after 9/87" distinction that affects which filter applies. Always confirm your generator's complete model number, spec letter, and build date using the compatibility table below and your Operator's Manual before ordering.
