Fill all eight 6V Trojan Plus battery cells in one shot -- no removing caps one by one, no overfilling, no acid spills. The Pro-Fill system replaces your existing vent caps with automatic shut-off valves interconnected by 127 flex manifold tubing, turning a tedious maintenance chore into a 60-second job.
Proper water levels are the single biggest factor in deep-cycle battery life. Too little water exposes the plates and causes sulfation. Too much pushes electrolyte out and corrodes terminals. Doing it right on eight individual cells -- every few weeks -- is exactly the kind of job that gets skipped or rushed.
The Flow-Rite Pro-Fill BG-U48V-7A eliminates all of that. The automatic shut-off valves sense when each cell has reached the correct electrolyte level and stop the flow independently. Every cell fills to the right level at the same time. Connect the quick-connect fill coupler, squeeze the trigger, and the system does the rest.
Each valve replaces a standard vent cap and stops flow automatically when the correct electrolyte level is reached -- no measuring, no guessing.
Flexible interconnect tubing routes between all cells and batteries, accommodating the Trojan Plus physical layout without rigid plumbing.
One quick-connect port serves all eight batteries. Attach a hand pump or gravity-feed jug and fill the entire bank in one connection.
Engineered specifically for (8) 6V Trojan Plus series batteries in the standard 48V bank configuration used in many RV and golf cart applications.
Each automatic shut-off valve threads directly into the battery cell in place of the existing vent cap. The valve contains a float mechanism: as water rises in the cell, the float lifts and seals the inlet, stopping flow to that cell while the rest of the bank continues filling. Because all valves shut off independently, cells that need more water get more, and cells that are nearly full stop sooner. The result is a perfectly balanced bank every time.
The 127 flex manifold tubing connects all valves into a single pressurized network. One fill port -- typically located at the end of the battery row -- accepts a quick-connect coupler from a hand-pump bottle, gravity jug, or powered pump. Flow-Rite Pro-Fill accessories such as the hand pump and fill bottle are available separately.
Installation is a one-time job that most RV owners or fleet technicians complete in under an hour with basic hand tools. The process:
The BG-U48V-7A kit includes the valves, manifold tubing, and fill port. To complete your watering station you will also want a compatible Flow-Rite fill source. Options include the Flow-Rite hand pump bottle (attaches via quick-connect), a gravity-feed deionized water jug with quick-connect coupler, or a powered battery watering pump for large fleets. All use the same quick-connect standard.
Never add tap water, electrolyte, or acid through the Pro-Fill system. Minerals and chlorine in tap water accelerate plate corrosion and reduce battery life. Use only distilled or deionized water. The system is designed for water addition only -- not initial electrolyte filling of new batteries.
