Stop lifting caps and guessing water levels. The Pro-Fill BG-U24V-7A replaces your existing vent caps with automatic shut-off valves interconnected by flexible tubing, letting you water all cells in a 24V deep-cycle bank from a single fill point -- in seconds, with zero overfill.
Manually checking and topping off individual battery cells is time-consuming, messy, and easy to get wrong -- overfilling accelerates corrosion and shortens battery life. The Flow-Rite Pro-Fill system eliminates that problem entirely. Automatic float-style shut-off valves seat into each cell opening and stop water flow the moment the correct electrolyte level is reached, so every cell is filled precisely, every time.
The BG-U24V-7A is the universal 24V configuration, designed to serve a bank of four 6V batteries or two 12V batteries. The 127 flex manifold tubing routes between cells and batteries, accommodating a wide variety of side-by-side and series/parallel tray layouts without rigid routing constraints.
Float-controlled valves stop flow at the correct electrolyte level -- no overfill, no dry cells, no guesswork.
Flexible tubing interconnects all cells and routes around hardware obstacles in standard battery trays.
Fits 4x6V or 2x12V deep-cycle battery configurations common in RVs, golf carts, and floor machines.
Connect a hose or hand pump to one port and water the entire bank simultaneously -- typical fill takes under 30 seconds.
Note: A water supply hose or hand pump (sold separately) is required for use. Deionized or distilled water is recommended.
Each automatic shut-off valve threads into the battery cell in place of the original vent cap. Inside the valve, a float rises with the electrolyte level. When the correct level is reached, the float seals the inlet port and stops water from entering that cell. Cells that need more water continue to fill. Because all valves are plumbed in parallel through the manifold tubing, a single pressurized water source -- a hand pump, gravity jug, or low-pressure faucet -- fills all cells simultaneously and stops automatically when every cell is full.
Consistent, correct electrolyte levels are the single biggest factor in deep-cycle battery longevity. Overfilling dilutes electrolyte concentration and causes acid spills that corrode terminals and trays. Underfilling exposes plates and causes sulfation. The Pro-Fill system eliminates both failure modes by automating the fill level on every cycle.
The BG-U24V-7A is designed for flooded lead-acid deep-cycle batteries with standard fill ports. Common applications include:
Not compatible with sealed AGM, gel cell, or lithium batteries -- those battery types do not require watering.
Flow-Rite Pro-Fill valves are designed to fit standard battery cell fill openings found on most major flooded deep-cycle battery brands including Trojan, US Battery, Crown, Deka, and Interstate. Verify your battery's fill port diameter before ordering if you have an uncommon brand. The standard port diameter the valves seat into is approximately 13/16 inch (common across most 6V and 12V deep-cycle flooded batteries).
Use only a low-pressure water source with this system. A hand pump or gravity-fed jug is ideal. Do not connect directly to a household tap or RV city water connection under normal line pressure (40-80 PSI) -- the valves are designed for low-pressure fill (typically under 5 PSI). Flow-Rite sells compatible hand pumps and gravity fill bottles separately if needed.
Pair your Pro-Fill system with a Flow-Rite hand pump or gravity bottle for a complete, hose-free watering solution. A battery terminal cleaner and corrosion inhibitor spray is also recommended when installing the valve system for the first time.
