Upgrade your RV's aging rooftop air conditioner without a full tear-out. The Furrion C-FACR15SA-A01 is designed as a conversion-ready rooftop unit that drops into the standard 14 x 14 inch RV roof opening, giving you Furrion Chill cooling performance in place of an older, less efficient unit. Whether you're replacing a failed Coleman Mach, Dometic Brisk Air, or a worn-out OEM unit, this kit brings modern cooling, a lower-profile rooftop design, and Furrion's signature clean aesthetic to your rig.
The Furrion Chill series is Furrion's dedicated line of RV rooftop air conditioners, engineered specifically for the demands of motorhome, fifth wheel, travel trailer, and toy hauler applications. The C-FACR15SA-A01 is the 15,000 BTU rooftop unit -- the upper end of the Chill lineup -- suited for larger coach interiors, slideout-heavy floor plans, and rigs parked in hot climates where a 13,500 BTU unit simply can't keep up.
At 26.85 inches long, 13.85 inches wide, and 5.98 inches tall, the rooftop unit sits lower than many legacy units, reducing wind resistance at highway speeds and presenting a cleaner roofline profile. The 1.5 lb listed weight reflects the conversion kit components; the full rooftop assembly is substantially heavier and should be handled with a second person during installation.
High-output cooling capacity handles larger RV interiors, Class A coaches, and hot-weather camping where 13,500 BTU units fall short.
Designed to fit the universal 14 x 14 inch RV roof cutout -- the industry standard opening found on the vast majority of production RVs.
Part of Furrion's purpose-built RV HVAC lineup, designed to integrate with Furrion's DuoTemp and control ecosystems for whole-coach climate management.
At under 6 inches tall on the roof deck, the Chill unit reduces aerodynamic drag compared to taller legacy designs from Coleman and Dometic.
A rooftop AC conversion kit (also called a "conversion unit" or "replacement rooftop assembly") includes the outdoor rooftop section -- the portion that sits above the roof -- along with the hardware and gasket/seal components needed to mount it to a standard 14 x 14 inch RV roof opening. The conversion kit format means you do not need to modify your roof opening or replace your entire ceiling assembly; you remove the old rooftop unit and install the new one using the existing opening.
The Furrion Chill conversion kit is intended to work with a compatible Furrion Chill interior air distribution box (ceiling assembly/air handler), which handles the indoor airflow, fan speeds, and thermostat connections. If you are replacing an existing Furrion Chill system's rooftop unit, this part is your direct replacement. If you are converting from a non-Furrion system, you will also need the matching Furrion Chill interior ceiling assembly for your coach.
To complete a full Furrion Chill installation, the rooftop unit must be paired with a Furrion Chill interior ceiling/air handler assembly. Furrion offers matching ceiling assemblies for single-zone and multi-zone (DuoTemp) configurations. Common Furrion Chill interior assembly part numbers in the 15,000 BTU family include those in the FACR15 and FACW15 product lines. Verify that your chosen ceiling assembly matches the 15,000 BTU rooftop before ordering.
The Furrion Chill 15,000 BTU rooftop unit operates on 120V AC shore power or generator power. The unit draws approximately 13-15 amps at startup (compressor startup surge) and runs at approximately 12-13 amps continuous under cooling load, consistent with other 15,000 BTU rooftop AC units. A dedicated 15-amp or 20-amp circuit is required. The unit is not designed for 12V DC or solar-only operation.
Installation follows the standard RV rooftop AC replacement procedure:
Two people are strongly recommended for rooftop unit removal and installation. A torque wrench and lap sealant appropriate for RV roof material (rubber, fiberglass, or aluminum) should be on hand.
