The 386327 is specifically the "without output shaft pin" variant. Some Kwikee/Power Gear motor assemblies use an output shaft with a cross-hole and a retaining pin to secure the pinion gear; others use a press-fit or keyed shaft without a pin. Installing a motor with the wrong shaft configuration will prevent proper pinion gear attachment. How to verify: Examine the output shaft(s) on your existing motor. If there is a small hole through the shaft perpendicular to the shaft axis (a cross-hole for a roll pin or cotter pin), you need the "with output shaft pin" version. Before replacing the motor, always verify 12V DC is present at the motor connector leads when the slide-out switch is activated. A motor that receives no voltage has an upstream electrical fault — in the controller, switch, fuse, or wiring — not a motor fault.
