Genuine Lippert replacement wet bolt connecting suspension springs and axle hangers via shackle links, with a grease zerk included for ongoing lubrication.
The Lippert 126238 is a genuine replacement wet shoulder bolt used to connect suspension leaf springs and axle hangers in conjunction with shackle links on Lippert trailer axle suspension systems, including wet bolt tandem axle setups. Unlike a simple bolt, a "wet" bolt is designed to be greased through a built-in zerk fitting, allowing the joint to be periodically re-lubricated to keep moving parts functioning smoothly and reduce wear over time. It's zinc-plated with a chromate and sealer finish for corrosion resistance, and installs just like the original equipment for a seamless, exact-match fit. It's also compatible with competitor leaf springs and equalizers, not just Lippert's own.
Lippert also sells a nearly identical wet shoulder bolt, part #126197, with the same 9/16" diameter and 7/16"-20 thread, but a longer 2-13/16" (2.825") shoulder length instead of this bolt's 2-5/16" (2.325"). The two are easy to mix up given how similar they look and are named - measure the existing bolt's shoulder length carefully, or check the RV/trailer's suspension documentation, before ordering.
This bolt is also sold as part of Lippert's Tandem Axle AP Kit for Wet Bolt Suspension (part #157641), which includes 14 of these shoulder bolts along with matching prevailing torque nuts, bushings, and shackle links. If replacing several suspension components at once, that full kit may be more economical than ordering individual bolts.
