Lippert 308958 -- Replacement In-Wall Control Panel for Schwintek Slide-Out Systems
Genuine Lippert replacement stand-alone control panel for compatible Schwintek In-Wall slide-out systems. When your V-Sync II controller fails, this is the OEM part that restores synchronized, reliable slide operation -- no splicing, no adapters, direct replacement fitment.
The Schwintek In-Wall slide system uses a rack-and-pinion design driven by two synchronized motors -- one at the top rail and one at the bottom. The V-Sync II controller is the brain of that system. It continuously monitors both motors and keeps them in sync as the slide travels in and out. When the controller board fails, symptoms include a slide that binds, moves unevenly, refuses to extend or retract, or throws a fault code on the coach's main panel.
Lippert 308958 (vendor part 04-7015) is the genuine factory replacement for the original V-Sync II in-wall control module. It mounts in the same in-wall cavity, connects to the same wiring harness, and restores full synchronized motor control without requiring new wiring or brackets.
Factory-sourced replacement -- same circuit design, same firmware logic as the original V-Sync II module.
Continuously balances top and bottom Schwintek slide motors to prevent racking and binding during travel.
Designed for existing Schwintek in-wall cavities -- same footprint and connector as the original panel.
Operates independently as a MyRV-compatible stand-alone slide control panel without requiring a separate coach controller upgrade.
The V-Sync II board reads motor feedback from both the upper and lower Schwintek drive motors simultaneously. If one motor gets ahead of the other -- due to uneven loading, a sticky seal, or a partial obstruction -- the controller slows the faster motor until they are back in sync. This prevents the slide room from racking in its frame. A failed controller cannot perform this correction, which is why a bad V-Sync II board often results in a slide that jerks, stops mid-travel, or trips the system into a fault/lockout state.
This panel is designed for Schwintek In-Wall slide-out systems that use the V-Sync II controller architecture. Schwintek In-Wall systems are found on a wide range of fifth wheels, travel trailers, and motorhomes produced by Forest River, Coachmen, Keystone, Grand Design, Heartland, and other brands that sourced Lippert slide-out hardware. Confirm your system uses the Schwintek In-Wall (rack-and-pinion, dual-motor) design before ordering -- this panel does not apply to HappiJac, electric-over-hydraulic, or older cable-operated slide systems.
Replacing the V-Sync II in-wall control panel is a straightforward swap for an experienced DIYer comfortable working with 12V DC wiring. The panel is typically accessible by removing the interior trim ring around the slide control switch location or by accessing the in-wall cavity through a service panel.
Schwintek In-Wall slide systems require periodic lubrication of the rack-and-pinion gear strip with a dry PTFE or sillithium spray lubricant (never grease). Neglecting lubrication increases motor load and is one of the leading causes of premature V-Sync II controller and motor failure. When replacing this controller, inspect the gear strips top and bottom along the full slide travel length and lubricate if needed.
