Lippert OEM Replacement Schwintek In-Wall

Lippert 308958 -- Replacement In-Wall Control Panel for Schwintek Slide-Out Systems

Genuine Lippert replacement stand-alone control panel for compatible Schwintek In-Wall slide-out systems. When your V-Sync II controller fails, this is the OEM part that restores synchronized, reliable slide operation -- no splicing, no adapters, direct replacement fitment.

Restore Your Schwintek Slide-Out with the Correct OEM Controller

The Schwintek In-Wall slide system uses a rack-and-pinion design driven by two synchronized motors -- one at the top rail and one at the bottom. The V-Sync II controller is the brain of that system. It continuously monitors both motors and keeps them in sync as the slide travels in and out. When the controller board fails, symptoms include a slide that binds, moves unevenly, refuses to extend or retract, or throws a fault code on the coach's main panel.

Lippert 308958 (vendor part 04-7015) is the genuine factory replacement for the original V-Sync II in-wall control module. It mounts in the same in-wall cavity, connects to the same wiring harness, and restores full synchronized motor control without requiring new wiring or brackets.

OEM Genuine Lippert

Factory-sourced replacement -- same circuit design, same firmware logic as the original V-Sync II module.

Synchronized Dual-Motor Control

Continuously balances top and bottom Schwintek slide motors to prevent racking and binding during travel.

In-Wall Direct Fit

Designed for existing Schwintek in-wall cavities -- same footprint and connector as the original panel.

Stand-Alone Operation

Operates independently as a MyRV-compatible stand-alone slide control panel without requiring a separate coach controller upgrade.

What the V-Sync II Controller Does

The V-Sync II board reads motor feedback from both the upper and lower Schwintek drive motors simultaneously. If one motor gets ahead of the other -- due to uneven loading, a sticky seal, or a partial obstruction -- the controller slows the faster motor until they are back in sync. This prevents the slide room from racking in its frame. A failed controller cannot perform this correction, which is why a bad V-Sync II board often results in a slide that jerks, stops mid-travel, or trips the system into a fault/lockout state.

Fitment: Compatible Schwintek In-Wall Systems

This panel is designed for Schwintek In-Wall slide-out systems that use the V-Sync II controller architecture. Schwintek In-Wall systems are found on a wide range of fifth wheels, travel trailers, and motorhomes produced by Forest River, Coachmen, Keystone, Grand Design, Heartland, and other brands that sourced Lippert slide-out hardware. Confirm your system uses the Schwintek In-Wall (rack-and-pinion, dual-motor) design before ordering -- this panel does not apply to HappiJac, electric-over-hydraulic, or older cable-operated slide systems.

  • Verify your existing slide controller is labeled V-Sync II or carries Lippert part number 308958 / 04-7015
  • Compatible with 12V DC Schwintek In-Wall slide installations
  • Works as a MyRV stand-alone panel for coaches with or without a central touchscreen controller

What Is NOT Included

  • Slide-out motors are NOT included -- this is the control panel/board only
  • Wiring harness extensions are NOT included
  • Mounting hardware beyond the panel itself is NOT included
  • This is not a whole slide-out assembly -- it replaces only the controller panel

Installation Overview

Replacing the V-Sync II in-wall control panel is a straightforward swap for an experienced DIYer comfortable working with 12V DC wiring. The panel is typically accessible by removing the interior trim ring around the slide control switch location or by accessing the in-wall cavity through a service panel.

  • Disconnect 12V house power before beginning -- the slide system draws significant current
  • Photograph all existing wiring connections before unplugging the old board
  • The replacement board connects to the same harness plug as the original -- no splicing required on a direct swap
  • After installation, cycle the slide in and out once at low load to confirm synchronization is restored
  • If the slide still faults after controller replacement, inspect both motors and the rack-and-pinion gear strips for wear or debris

Maintenance Tip

Schwintek In-Wall slide systems require periodic lubrication of the rack-and-pinion gear strip with a dry PTFE or sillithium spray lubricant (never grease). Neglecting lubrication increases motor load and is one of the leading causes of premature V-Sync II controller and motor failure. When replacing this controller, inspect the gear strips top and bottom along the full slide travel length and lubricate if needed.

Important Information

  • Verify your system: This panel is ONLY compatible with Schwintek In-Wall slide-out systems using the V-Sync II controller. It does not fit hydraulic, cable-operated, HappiJac, or electric-over-hydraulic slide systems.
  • Confirm the part number: Check your existing controller for Lippert part number 308958 or 04-7015 before purchasing. Other Schwintek controllers (such as the Generation 2 or SlideOut Interface Module) use different part numbers and are not interchangeable with this panel.
  • 12V DC only: Do not attempt to operate or test this controller outside of a proper 12V DC RV electrical system.
  • Disconnect power before installation: Slide-out motor circuits carry high current. Always disconnect the 12V house battery (or isolate the slide circuit breaker/fuse) before removing the old controller or connecting the replacement.
  • Motors and harnesses sold separately: If your slide motors have also failed, they must be replaced independently -- this panel does not include motors, wiring, or mechanical components.
  • Persistent faults after replacement: If the slide still faults after installing this replacement panel, the root cause may be a failed motor, damaged gear strip, or wiring fault -- not the controller. Diagnose the full system before assuming the new panel is defective.
