The SolidStep system replaces flimsy bolt-on steps with a rigid, fold-down stairway that stores inside your trailer's entry door opening, shielded from road grime, corrosion, and weather. Three steps, adjustable leg extensions, and aluminum treads with rubber anti-slip strips make entry and exit safer and more comfortable at any campsite.
Stock RV entry steps wobble, corrode, and collect road debris. The Lippert SolidStep 791572 is built from black powder-coated steel with aluminum step treads and mounts directly into your existing door hardware -- no custom fabrication required. When deployed, the steps stay parallel to the ground regardless of extension, so each tread remains level even on uneven terrain.
The adjustable pin-style legs extend to accommodate entry heights from 27" to 36", making this a practical replacement across a wide range of trailer floor heights. Two safety latches -- one on each side -- lock the unit securely into the door frame while traveling, keeping the step assembly from shifting in transit.

The SolidStep mounts into your existing door frame hardware. Mounting screws are included for both wood floor and laminate floor applications. The mounting bracket (22.5" wide x 10.5" tall x 6" deep) must fit within your existing doorway framing -- measure your opening carefully before ordering.
The 791572 SolidStep fits doorways 25" to 28.9" wide and entry heights of 27" to 36". It installs into existing door frame hardware on travel trailers and fifth wheels.
