The Ice (also referred to as "Cracked Ice") tint is a lightly textured translucent finish — between clear and white in terms of light transmission. The subtle texture provides a soft, diffused quality to the light that enters through the dome, while still allowing substantial natural daylight. It offers a slightly warmer, more diffused light effect than a clear dome, without the full opacity of a white dome.
The Specialty Recreation SL1422E-LP is a low profile replacement skylight for 14"×22" openings in the distinctive Ice (Cracked Ice) tint. The approved elastomeric sealant included with this skylight is specifically compatible with polycarbonate. Do not substitute self-leveling lap sealants (such as Dicor or similar) — these contain chemicals that react with polycarbonate and can cause cracking and failure of the dome.
The Specialty Recreation Inc. product warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for 1 year from the date of purchase. Warranty does not apply to damage caused by improper installation.
