Covers and protects the male end of a 1/4" Model 250 quick-disconnect propane hose plug when not in use. Keeps out dirt, debris, insects, and moisture between uses. Snaps on and off quickly.
When a Model 250 quick-disconnect propane hose is disconnected from an appliance or QD port, the male plug end is left exposed — open to dirt, insects, spider webs, and moisture that can enter the fitting and eventually cause problems with the seal or flow at the next connection. The MB Sturgis 302004-MBS is a simple, inexpensive solution: a snap-on protective cap that covers the male plug end of any 1/4" Model 250 quick-disconnect hose when it's not in use.
Made to fit the same Model 250 connectors found on MB Sturgis's 100395 quick-disconnect hose family and the RV appliance conversion kits we carry, the 302004-MBS cap keeps the connector clean and protected during storage, travel, and any time between uses. The blue color makes it easy to spot in a bag or storage compartment — and easy to confirm it's in place before hitting the road. Sold individually; order the quantity needed for your QD hoses.

The 302004-MBS cap fits the male Model 250 quick-disconnect plug end of a propane hose — the end that inserts into a female port. It does not fit the female coupler end of the hose. Male plug = the end that pushes into a port to connect. This is typically the end of the hose that connects to your RV's propane system or the end of a hose that attaches to an appliance-side male fitting. Confirm which end of your hose is the male plug before ordering. If you need a cap for the female coupler end instead, see the MB Sturgis 302005-MBS, which is designed to cap the female QD coupler.
The 302004-MBS cap protects the male Model 250 QD plug found on the following MB Sturgis products: QD Hoses (100395 Family): • 100395-48-MBS (48" Dual QD Hose — male plug end) • 100395-72-MBS (72" Dual QD Hose — male plug end) • 100395-120-MBS (120" Dual QD Hose — male plug end) Adapter Fittings: • 204171-MBS Blackstone Griddle Inlet Adapter (male QD plug end) • Other MB Sturgis or Gas Flow 1/4" Model 250 male QD plug fittings Order one cap per male plug end you want to protect.
Storing the Hose: 1. Disconnect your QD hose from the appliance or RV propane port 2. Snap the 302004-MBS cap over the male Model 250 plug end of the hose 3. Confirm the cap is seated securely before storing or rolling up the hose Reconnecting: 1. Remove the cap from the male plug end 2. Store the cap somewhere accessible — in a small bag, compartment, or attached to the hose storage area 3. Connect the male plug into the female QD port on your RV or appliance as normal The cap is for protection during storage and transport only — remove before connecting the hose to a gas source.
