This kit is rated for low-pressure downstream appliance testing -- the side of the regulator that feeds your furnace, range, oven, and water heater. Typical RV low-side operating pressure is 11" WC (approximately 0.43 PSI). The 0-35" WC range gives ample headroom to catch over-pressure conditions as well.
This kit tests the low-pressure side of your LP system -- downstream of the regulator. It is not designed for high-pressure testing of the supply line between the tank and regulator. High-pressure testing requires a separate gauge rated for much higher PSI ranges.
A regulator can show correct output pressure while a downstream flex connector or valve is restricting flow. Always test at the appliance test port under operating load (burner or furnace running) to get a true picture of working line pressure.
