Complete OEM maintenance kit for Cummins Onan HGJAB (Spec A-E, J-K) and HGJAC (Spec A-K) LP propane generators — including Marquis Gold, Marquis Platinum, and Emerald Advantage series. Includes air filter, oil filter, two spark plugs, and 2 quarts OnaMax 15W-40 oil. LP (propane) generators only — not for EFI or gasoline HGJAB/HGJAC models. 90-day limited warranty.
The Cummins Onan A049E506 is a factory-assembled maintenance kit containing the genuine OEM parts needed to perform standard scheduled service on HGJAB and HGJAC LP (propane) generator models. All parts are Cummins Onan Green Label, built to the same specifications as the originals installed at the factory.
The kit covers all four core service items for these larger LP generator families: air filtration, oil filtration, ignition, and lubrication. Two spark plugs are included because the HGJAB and HGJAC engines are two-cylinder generators requiring one plug per cylinder. Designed to travel with you, it provides everything needed to complete preventive maintenance at your destination.
This kit is for LP (propane) HGJAB and HGJAC generators only. It is not compatible with EFI models or with gasoline carburetor HGJAB/HGJAC generators. A separate kit is available for gasoline HGJAB/HGJAC/HGJAE models. Verify your generator's fuel type, series, and spec letter before ordering.
Air filter, oil filter, two spark plugs, and 2 quarts of engine oil — all the genuine OEM parts for a full scheduled maintenance service on these two-cylinder LP generators
All components are Cummins Onan Green Label parts, built to original factory specifications — not generic aftermarket substitutes
Tailored for LP vapor propane HGJAB and HGJAC generators — no fuel filter included, as LP vapor generators do not use a gasoline-style fuel filter
Kit includes a maintenance instruction sheet to guide you through the service procedure step by step
140-3116 — Air Filter (Air Cleaner Element) · Qty: 1 Fits HGJAA, HGJAB, and HGJAC generators. Service interval: 150 hr. Sold individually — this kit includes one filter per service.
122-0836 — Oil Filter · Qty: 1 Spin-on canister oil filter with bypass valve — allows oil to flow during cold starts or if the filter becomes plugged. Fits HGJAA/HGJAB/HGJAC (Spec A-K). Service interval: 150 hr. Genuine bypass valve is critical — non-bypass aftermarket filters can cause oil starvation and engine damage.
167-1638 — Spark Plug · Qty: 2 Resistive spark plug. Gap: 0.036". Cross-reference: NGK BPR4EY. Two plugs included — one per cylinder on the two-cylinder HGJAB/HGJAC engine. Service interval: 450 hr. Must use resistive plug — non-resistive plugs can cause generator shutdowns without fault codes.
326-5336 — OnaMax 15W-40 Engine Oil, 1 qt · Qty: 2 Conventional 15W-40 — factory-fill oil used in all new Cummins Onan generators. Two 1-quart bottles included. Oil change interval: 150 hr.
