Keep your fat bikes locked down on the road. The Arvika AVKP0031 wheel strap set is purpose-built for fat bikes, with extra-wide nylon belts and a cam-lock buckle that cinches tight and stays put mile after mile. One set covers both wheels -- no improvising, no bungee cords.
Standard bike carrier straps are sized for road and mountain bike tires -- typically 1.5 to 2.5 inches wide. Fat bikes run 3.8 to 5 inches wide, and ordinary straps either won't reach or won't sit flat on the tire sidewall. The AVKP0031 strap is built to accommodate those wider profiles, giving you a clean, flat hold across the full contact patch of the tire.
The cam-locking buckle system applies consistent tension without requiring tools. Thread the strap through the carrier tray channel, loop it over the tire, feed it through the cam buckle, and pull. The buckle grips the nylon webbing and holds under vibration and road shock -- the same forces that work loose on ratchet straps that aren't rated for cycling applications.
Strap geometry accommodates fat bike tires found on 4-season and trail fat bikes -- wider than what standard bike carrier straps are sized for.
Tool-free tensioning holds nylon webbing securely under road vibration. No ratchet hardware to strip or lose.
Set of 2 straps secures both the front and rear wheels independently for stable, centered bike positioning on the carrier.
Nylon webbing resists UV degradation and moisture. Total set weight is approximately 0.20 lbs -- barely noticeable on any carrier setup.
The AVKP0031 straps are designed as an accessory for Arvika bike carrier systems. They slot into the standard tray channels used on Arvika RV-mount and hitch-mount bike racks. If you own an Arvika carrier and have recently added fat bikes to your fleet, these straps are the correct replacement or supplemental hardware -- the standard straps included with most Arvika carriers are not dimensioned for fat bike tires.
No tools are required for installation or removal. Each strap routes through the tray or arm slot on your Arvika carrier, loops over the tire at the contact point, and feeds through the cam buckle. Pull the free end to tension, and the cam locks the webbing in place. To release, press the cam lever and slide the webbing back through.
