This lid is for non-powered, manually operated vent assemblies. It does not include a vent body, hinge arm, screen, or crank mechanism -- lid only.
Installation is a roof-access job. You will need to safely get on the roof, remove the fasteners holding the old lid to the hinge bracket on the vent body, and attach the new lid using the included hardware. No sealant is required on the lid itself -- the lid sits above the vent body and sheds water away from the opening.
The Camco 40187 includes the replacement lid and mounting hardware only. The vent body, hinge arm, interior garnish ring, and insect screen are not included. If your vent body frame, hinge mechanism, or screen is also damaged, those components must be sourced separately.
