A wobbly RV entry step is more than an annoyance -- it stresses the step mechanism, accelerates wear on mounting hardware, and creates a real trip hazard. The Camco 43681 Save-A-Step Brace drops into place under your RV entry steps in seconds, providing a solid steel support column that stops sag, flex, and coach rocking before it causes damage.
RV entry steps -- whether manual fold-down or electric -- hang off the coach frame and flex under repeated use. Over time, that flex bends mounting brackets, strips fasteners, and can crack step treads. The Save-A-Step Brace transfers load directly to the ground, taking the stress off the step hardware and the coach side wall.
Setup is tool-free. Slide the brace under the lowest step, turn the 3/4" metal screw head to extend or retract the column until it contacts the ground firmly, and you are done. The 4.02" x 4.02" base pad distributes the load and resists sinking into soft ground or gravel pads.
Screw-adjust from 4-5/8" to 8" to match virtually any RV entry step clearance without tools.
Heavy-gauge steel construction handles up to 10,000 lbs -- far beyond typical entry step loads.
4.02" x 4.02" pad spreads load and prevents the brace from tipping or punching into soft surfaces.
Adds a grounded contact point under the step, cutting side-to-side coach movement at the entry.
The Save-A-Step Brace requires zero permanent modifications. Place it, adjust it, use it. Remove it before driving. It works equally well at campgrounds, driveways, and gravel sites.
This brace is designed for steps with 4-5/8" to 8" of ground clearance when deployed. Measure your lowest step-to-ground distance before ordering. Steps that sit higher than 8" or lower than 4-5/8" when extended are outside this brace's adjustment range.
