Purpose-built for motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and boats, the CV1500 delivers powerful central vacuum performance in a compact 7.5" x 7" x 14.25" unit that fits under dinette seats, inside sink cabinets, or in exterior storage bays. At 501 air watts and 120" water lift, it outperforms most portable RV vacuums -- while running 30% quieter than the previous generation. The complete Maximizer Deluxe Kit and RugRat turbine brush are included, so you can clean carpet, upholstery, vinyl floors, cockpits, and window treatments right out of the box.
The CV1500 is rated at 501 air watts with a water lift of 120 inches -- figures that put it firmly in the performance bracket of residential central vacuum units, not bargain-bin portables. The motor runs at up to 11.7 amps peak (8.7 amps continuous) on standard 120V AC shore power or generator. HEPA filter bags capture 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns or larger, which covers dust mites, mold spores, pet dander, and pollen -- critical for allergy sufferers traveling in a sealed RV cabin.
Because the power unit is mounted remotely -- not carried around -- you only ever handle a lightweight hose. The 7-foot hose expands to 35 feet, so a single inlet valve typically covers most coach floor plans without repositioning the unit. Vacuumed debris is deposited directly into the 1-gallon dirt canister in the remote unit, keeping exhaust air and fine particles out of your living space entirely.
Upgraded over prior CV models -- 501 air watts and 120" water lift handle debris from carpet, rugs, tile, and upholstery with ease.
Improved motor mounts and housing damping reduce noise compared to the previous generation, so you can vacuum without disturbing the whole campground.
Sealed HEPA filter bags (3 included) capture 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns -- mold, dander, dust mites, pollen, and fine smoke particles.
At 7.5" x 7" x 14.25" and 14 lbs., the CV1500 installs in tight RV spaces without sacrificing storage capacity.
The CV1500 ships as a full system. You receive the power unit and every tool and installation component needed for a complete first-time setup:
The RugRat is an air-powered turbine brush that spins from vacuum suction alone. It agitates carpet pile to pull embedded pet hair and debris that a bare suction head misses -- without adding a separate motor or requiring any electrical connection beyond the main hose.
The CV1500 is designed for semi-permanent installation. The power unit mounts in a storage bay, under a dinette seat, or inside a sink cabinet using the included mounting plate and hardware. The almond inlet valve (low-profile, flush-mount style) installs through a 2-inch hole in a wall panel and connects to the power unit via the included 9-foot remote hose and flex connector. The inlet valve wire runs low-voltage signal to activate the motor when the hose is plugged in -- no separate switch is needed.
For most Class A and Class C motorhomes, a single inlet valve centered in the main living area gives the 35-foot expanded hose enough reach to cover the bedroom, bath, and cab with no hose repositioning. Larger coaches or fifth wheels with slide-outs may benefit from a second inlet valve (sold separately). Locate the power unit as close to the inlet as practical to minimize hose friction loss.
The CV1500 runs on 120V AC only -- it does not run on 12V DC or battery power. Plan for shore power hookup or a running generator during cleaning. Do not attempt to run it from an inverter rated below 1,500 watts continuous.
