Keep your Enviro pellet stove running safely and efficiently with this direct-replacement high limit temperature sensor. The EF-016 (also cataloged as NBK Parts 20107) is the factory-specified sensor for a wide range of Enviro pellet stove models, protecting the stove by cutting power to critical components when exhaust or firebox temperatures exceed safe operating limits.
The high limit temperature sensor is a critical safety component in any pellet stove. When the stove overheats -- due to a blocked exhaust vent, dirty burn pot, failed combustion blower, or other fault -- the high limit sensor triggers a shutdown before temperatures reach a damaging or dangerous level. A failed or out-of-spec sensor can cause nuisance shutdowns during normal operation or, worse, fail to shut down when a real overheat occurs.
Replacing a suspect or confirmed-faulty high limit sensor with a genuine Enviro EF-016 restores the factory safety threshold and eliminates guesswork. This part is a compact, low-weight component (0.1 lb.) that installs without specialized tools in most models.
Fits EF1 through EF5, Empress FS, Empress Insert, M55 series, MAXX series, Meridian, Milan, Mini, Omega, Solus, and Windsor -- one part covers most of the Enviro lineup.
Monitors stove temperature and triggers a protective shutoff when limits are exceeded, preventing damage to the heat exchanger, auger motor, and control board.
Matches the original factory specification. No modifications or adapters required for covered models. Replaces worn or failed sensors with confidence.
Weighs only 0.1 lb. Easy to ship, store as a spare, and install. A sensible part to keep on hand before heating season begins.
Enviro pellet stoves use a bimetallic or thermal-disc high limit sensor mounted on or near the heat exchanger or exhaust plenum. When the sensed temperature rises above the sensor's rated trip point, the sensor opens its circuit, cutting power to the auger or convection blower and initiating a controlled shutdown. Once the stove cools below the reset threshold, many sensors automatically reset, allowing a restart attempt.
Common symptoms of a faulty high limit sensor include:
Before replacing the sensor, verify that the exhaust vent and air intake are clear, the burn pot is clean, and the combustion blower is operating at full speed. A sensor that trips repeatedly may be responding correctly to an underlying airflow or maintenance issue.
The EF-016 is confirmed to fit the following Enviro pellet stove models:
Installation is straightforward on all covered models. Disconnect stove power, allow the unit to cool completely, locate the sensor on the exhaust plenum or heat exchanger, disconnect the two-wire connector, remove the mounting screws or clip, and reverse the steps with the new sensor. No soldering or special tools are required for most models. Torque mounting fasteners snugly -- do not overtighten, as the sensor housing can crack.
