A heavy-duty roller pump engineered for agricultural spraying, liquid fertilizer transfer, and corrosive chemical applications where a standard cast-iron pump would fail. The R440SS combines a stainless steel rotor and housing with Remco's Rebuild Ready design so you can replace rollers, seals, and wear parts in the field -- without pulling the whole pump off the rig.
The RollMax R440SS is designed for operators who spray corrosive materials -- herbicides, pesticides, liquid fertilizers, and other aggressive chemicals -- and need a pump that holds up season after season. Stainless steel construction throughout the wetted path resists chemical attack that destroys standard rollers pumps in short order.
With a clockwise shaft rotation and a standard 5/8" keyed shaft, this pump mounts directly to gas or electric motor drives common in agricultural spray rigs, ATV boom sprayers, truck-bed units, and tractor-mounted setups. The 3/4" FNPT inlet and outlet ports accept common fittings without adapters in most installations.
High output supports multiple boom nozzles and wide-coverage spray applications without starving the system.
Handles the pressure demands of spray booms, hand guns, and inline injection systems on commercial rigs.
Resists corrosion from harsh herbicides, pesticides, and liquid fertilizers that attack cast-iron or aluminum pumps.
Rollers, seals, and wear components can be swapped in the field -- reducing downtime and extending overall pump life.
Roller pumps use spring-loaded or centrifugal-force rollers riding inside a precision-bored housing to generate flow. Four rollers provide a smooth, relatively low-pulsation output compared to two- or three-roller designs, which matters when you are running pressure-sensitive tip nozzles or inline chemical injectors. The rollers also act as the primary wear component, which is why Remco's field-replaceable roller design is a genuine operational advantage -- when rollers wear, you swap them, not the whole pump body.
Remco's Rebuild Ready architecture means the pump housing, ports, and drive components stay on the machine. Replacement roller kits and seal kits are stocked separately. When performance drops or you get unusual noise, you replace wear parts on-site in under an hour rather than removing the pump and waiting on a core exchange. For seasonal operators, this translates directly into more spray days per season.
The 5/8" keyed shaft is the standard diameter for small-engine PTO drives, belt-drive jackshaft setups, and many direct-coupled electric motor configurations common on 12V and 120V spray rigs. Clockwise rotation (CW) is viewed from the shaft end and matches the output rotation of most gasoline engines and standard-frame electric motors in this class. If your drive spins counterclockwise, Remco offers a CCW variant -- verify rotation before ordering.
Both the inlet and outlet ports are 3/4" FNPT (female national pipe thread). Standard 3/4" MPT fittings thread in directly. For systems using 1/2" or 1" plumbing, use a brass reducing or expanding bushing at the port -- do not force-fit undersized or oversized fittings. Use PTFE thread tape or a compatible pipe sealant on all connections; do not use petroleum-based compounds if spraying petroleum-sensitive chemicals.
Stainless steel construction greatly expands chemical compatibility versus cast iron, but not all chemicals are compatible with every seal or roller material. Verify compatibility of the specific chemical product with the pump's seal and roller materials before use. Concentrated acids, strong oxidizers, and some solvent-based products may require upgraded seal materials. Contact Remco or consult the chemical manufacturer's SDS for compatibility guidance.
Remco offers roller replacement kits and seal kits specifically for the R440SS series. Stocking a roller kit on the rig means a worn pump can be back in service the same day. Check part numbers R440-ROLLKIT and R440-SEALKIT (verify current Remco part numbers at time of order) for direct-fit service parts. Using genuine Remco replacement parts maintains the rated flow and pressure performance of the pump.
