A level RV protects your refrigerator, keeps slide-outs operating smoothly, and stops cabinet doors from swinging on their own. The Camco 25520 gives you front-to-back and side-to-side readings in one compact unit -- no math, no guessing. Mount one on the rear of your rig and one on the side, and you have a permanent two-point reference every time you park.
Leveling an RV by feel or by rocking the chassis is unreliable. Absorption refrigerators, in particular, depend on a reasonably level coach -- operating them significantly off-level can cause the cooling unit to fail over time. Slide-out seals also compress more evenly on a level platform, and every drawer and cabinet latch in the rig behaves better when the floor is flat.
The Camco 25520 Retro Bubble Level is a simple, permanent solution. Each level reads both axes simultaneously -- front-to-back and side-to-side -- so a single glance through a window or from the ground tells you everything. This pack includes two levels: mount one on the rear exterior wall and one on the driver-side or curb-side exterior so you can read both planes without walking around the coach.
Reads front-to-back and side-to-side simultaneously. No need for two separate single-axis levels.
Pre-drilled for screw mounting or use the included double-sided foam tape for a no-drill installation.
At 2.60 x 1.58 x 0.56 inches each, these stay on the rig full-time without snagging on covers or straps.
Mount one on the rear wall and one on the side wall for a complete two-point leveling reference at every campsite.
Most RV owners know leveling matters, but the reasons go beyond comfort:
Pull in, check the side-wall level first -- adjust driver/passenger side with leveling blocks. Then check the rear-wall level -- adjust front-to-back with the tongue jack or front leveling jacks. When both bubbles are centered, you are done. The Camco 25520 makes this a 60-second task instead of a 10-minute trial-and-error process.
Both mounting methods work well on typical painted or gelcoat RV exterior surfaces:
One level on the rear exterior wall (reads side-to-side when viewed from behind) and one on the driver-side or curb-side exterior wall (reads front-to-back when viewed from the side) gives you both axes covered without moving. Many full-timers also mount one inside a cabinet door near the entry for a quick interior check.
Bubble levels are not serviceable. If the bubble fluid becomes cloudy, the housing cracks, or the level was exposed to extreme heat (such as a dark exterior wall in direct summer sun in the Southwest), replace the unit. At the low cost of a 2-pack, it is practical to keep a spare set on hand.
The Camco 25520 tells you how much correction you need. Camco yellow leveling blocks (sold separately) let you act on that information quickly. A set of interlocking blocks under the low-side tires, checked against the bubble level, gets most RVs level in one or two attempts.
